Overview

Physical and digital security are both important components of workplace security. All of the physical resources at your company, including your staff, your tools, your visitors, and your office, are referred to as being physically secure. Data, information, accountability, and system protection are all included in the definition of digital security. Although you cannot see or touch these assets, they are very important to the success and morality of your company.  Sca malaysia is a concept that is very similar in protecting the safety and security of a specific place. It is so important that you keep your workplace safe and secure. Your workplace security plan should protect your company’s sensitive data and information from cybercriminals and other security risks. It may be hard for you to carry on with your daily tasks and also to supervise the safety of your workplace. Here are a few tips on how you can ensure safety in the workplace.

1) Establish a Culture of Security and Safety

It is always important to ensure that your staff in the workplace receive through guide and training about the safety and security in the workplace. To make things easy, what you can do is brief them through this during the orientation or the first week upon entering the workplace as it would give them some time to establish it and get a hold of the safety measures in the workplace. To teach the importance of safety in the workplace is a good place to start. Give workers the option to anonymously report any problems they may have observed during their work period. This would encourage them to voice out about safety even if they do not feel comfortable speaking up about something they may have noticed.

2) Consistently inspect all entry and exit points

Areas with wide and open receptions, faulty elevators and fire stairways that are unlocked can pretty much provide a chance for burglars and thieves to enter the area of work. This can also result in entering the office area if the main door has no adequate security. To prevent all of these from taking place it is advised to constantly check places with risk and fix it from time to time. By fixing the security in the places that there is less movement you are able to prevent possible theft. It is also said that most burglars tend to break in through windows and doors so do check it as well.

3) Implement a security system

A good security system no longer serves as a luxury for big companies. This applies to even small companies. Having video surveillance is becoming more and more prevalent for small businesses as more choices hit the market. Once your security system is installed, be sure to inform any potential intruders that there is a system in place. If a robber sees security cameras or signage, they are less inclined to target that area. Businesses can emulate this strategy and find possible criminals by publicising their security procedures. Make sure your security system is advertised at all points of entry, it does the trick
