copper fittings malaysia

Overview

For any pipes and plumbing systems used in industrial and commercial applications, pipe fittings are definitely put into use and have a very high demand especially in recent times. Fittings make it possible to join or install pipes where it is  needed, as well as to terminate or close pipes when it is not needed. It’s that convenient. Fittings come in a variety of sizes and forms. They are also available in various materials like copper, PVC and ordinary plastic. It is purchased based on the needs of people. They are a crucial component of plumbing and pipe systems. Numerous customised fittings are produced and each type of pipe or tube has a specific fitting. They also often have several similar characteristics. Listed below are the different types of fittings and its uses.

Type of pipe fittings

  1. Flange

A flange pipe is an additional pipe fitting that joins together  pipes, pumps, valves, flanges, and other parts to create a complete piping system. It has the ability to be cleaned and it is super flexible within the entire piping system. They are welded, threaded, screwed, or otherwise secured to the pipes before being sealed with bolts. They are mostly utilised for industrial reasons but are also used in household piping systems.

  1. Reducer

Reducer is used to change the pipe’s flow size from large to small. Reducers come in two varieties being eccentric reducers and concentric reducers. The former, which has a cone-like shape, is used to gradually reduce the pipe’s size. The latter one reduces the likelihood of air collection by having one edge facing the connected pipe’s mouth.

  1. Adapter

In order to lengthen the pipes, adapters are used. It can also be seen in the usage of linking pipes that do not have proper ends. According to the requirements, these pipe fittings convert the pipe’s ends to either male or female threads. This enables the connection of pipes that are dissimilar without the need for elaborate setup. PVC and copper fittings malaysia are the most common uses for them.

  1. Coupling

The reason why couplers are used is to prevent the leaks in pipes. It also sorts of fixing the damanged and broken pipes. The pipes that need to be joined to one another to have the same diameter. Regular coupling and slip coupling are the two types of couplings that is usually used in plumbing. Regular couplings are positioned between the two pipes to stop additional leaks. It is joined together with the help of rubber seal

  1. Elbows

These pipe fittings are used to shift the flow’s direction. Elbows Due to their high need in plumbing, they are primarily available in two conventional types: 90 and 45 degree angles. The 45 degree elbow is mostly used in electronic and chemical industrial pipeline networks whereas the 90 degree elbow is primarily used to connect hoses to water pumps, valves, and deck drains.
